Now take the wing rails, thread the chairs on, trim the inside of the chairs (coloured green) so that the other wing rail can fit, gauge across and glue down. A good idea is to remove one of the shoulder washers on one or more of the C&L gauges to enable them to fit in the tight areas around the vee and wing rails.Make sure that the tip of the vee is lined up with the bend (knuckle) in the wing rail (use a checkrail gauge to make sure they line up). Solder the wing rails to the connecting lead under the vee, also glue the chair marked with a red * gauging from the wing rail to obtain the correct position. Your construction should now look like the diagram below.
